Murud-Janjira is a magnificent sea fort located on an oval rock off the coast of Murud in the Raigad district, Maharashtra. This fort is surrounded completely by the Arabian Sea, and it is considered one of India’s strongest marine forts. Near the fort is Murud Beach, a pleasant stretch of shoreline with coconut and betel nut palms, providing a relaxing seaside atmosphere.
